Volunteer With The Communications Committee

The Communications Committee (BPOC) is responsible for effective and timely communications with membership and for internal and external marketing and promotion of the Grants Managers Network.

The skills and resume-enhancing experience you can refine or develop by volunteering with this committee include:

• Writing
• Marketing
• Website management
• Publication design and production
• Project management
• Media relations
• Public speaking
• Using technology to reach and connect members

You’ll develop these skills through involvement with the following Communications Committee responsibilities:

• Publication of the GMN Examiner. GMN’s e-newsletter, written by members, shares informative, convenient, and timely news and trends to help grants managers stay current.
• Management of www.gmnetwork.org, gateway to the most comprehensive grants management information and tools available.
• Design, production, and dissemination of GMN’s products including the bi-annual salary survey and staffing grants management guide.
• Issuance of press releases and interaction with external media to promote GMN’s products and services.
