Volunteering GraphicVolunteer With The Collective Knowledge Committee

The Collective Knowledge Committee monitors developments in the field and captures them for use by members. Its main focus is to advance best practices in the grants management field.

The skills and resume-enhancing experience you can refine or develop by volunteering with this committee include:

  • Project management
  • Certification/education program development
  • Content creation and dissemination
  • Public speaking
  • Writing
  • Using technology in innovative ways to deliver content to members

You’ll develop these skills through involvement with the following Collective Knowledge Committee responsibilities:

  • Creating and managing the GM Guide, a repository of the collective knowledge of the Grants Managers Network.
  • Exploring opportunities for the professional development of individuals in the grants management field. The Collective Knowledge Committee is currently tasked with investigating the possibilities of a grants management certification process.
  • Contributing articles on new developments in grants management to the GMN Examiner newsletter.
