Conference Schedule
The Pre-Conference Workshop: Introduction to Grants Management will begin at 8:30 am on Sunday, March 18, 2012. Click here to learn more.
The Conference will begin on Monday, March 19th. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 am and the Opening Plenary will begin at 9:00 am. The Conference will end on Wednesday, March 21st at 12:15 pm.

Learning Tracks
The forty-eight concurrent sessions at the conference will fall under six Learning Tracks:
- Grantmaking– Exploring broader topics in philanthropy and how they impact your grantmaking.
- Grants Management – Expanding your mastery of grantmaking basics as well as the complex and constantly evolving financial and legal issues impacting grants management.
- Emerging Practices – Covering emerging issues in philanthropy which will change how you make grants now and in the future.
- Professional Development – Honing your professional and personal skills to be more effective in your current job and advance your career.
- Technology – Helping you make your grantmaking practices more efficient through technology integration and informed choices about new technologies.
- Vendor Sponsored Sessions – Showcasing how new and existing technology can help meet your organization’s needs.

Opening Plenary

John Colborn, Vice President of Operations, Ford Foundation Join us for an energizing opening to the conference led by John Colborn who will share his experience with successfully managing transformative change in grantmaking operations and why he believes grants managers are central to philanthropic effectiveness and (perhaps) the future of civilization. He will draw on his experience overseeing operations and grants management in the foundation’s New York headquarters and 10 regional offices in Africa, Asia and Latin America in a session that is sure to help you put to use the tools, resources, and new ideas you'll gain at this year's conference. |
