GMN Technology FAQ
Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari may all be used to log into the GMN website.
Depending on the size of your monitor or your choice of browser, you may need to adjust your zoom settings to accommodate your viewing preferences.
Cookies are files created by websites you visit. These files remember information about your preferred settings and items such as your username and/or password. Enabling cookies can speed movement around a website and make it unnecessary for you to re-enter your information each time you visit. GMN cookies are listed as netforum.avectra.com and netforumpro.com.
Chrome enables cookies by default. Manage cookies in Chrome under Settings>>Advanced Settings>>Privacy>>Content Settings.
Select “Allow local data to be set,” the Chrome-recommended setting, to create the quickest GMN login experience. You may also set exceptions here, as well as delete individual cookies that have already been saved. More information.
By default, cookies are enabled by Firefox. Manage cookies under Settings>>Options>>
“Accept cookies from sites” and “Keep until they expire” are the recommended settings. Select Use Custom Settings for History to manage your preferences for exceptions and individual sites. More information.
- Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer accepts cookies by default. Be sure that the “Always allow session cookies” option is checked, as well, by going to Tools>>Internet Options>>Privacy>>Advanced. Manage individual cookies under Tools>>Internet Options>>Privacy>>Sites. More information.
The default cookie setting for Safari is “Allow from Websites I Visit.”
To manage Safari cookies on your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings>>Safari>>Block Cookies. More information.

New tabs will open when you click to access to the Knowledge Base, My Courses, and online discussions on the GMN website. Use the instructions below to allow pop-ups in your browser if you are not able to open GMN pages.
Chrome, by default, blocks pop-ups, so new tabs for the GMN Knowledge Base and other resources won’t automatically open.
Allow pop-ups for blocked GMN pages by clicking the pop-up blocker icon in the address bar and selecting “Always allow pop-ups from https://netforum.avectra.com.”
Manage pop-up blocking in Chrome by clicking the link at the bottom of the box, or under Settings>>Advanced Settings>>Privacy>>Content Settings. More information.
The GMN Knowledge Base and other resource options should readily open in new tabs.
Access pop-up blocker settings in Firefox under Settings>>Options>>Content. You can block pop-ups from there, and also create exceptions for pages you want to be sure to access. More information.
- Internet Explorer
The pop-up blocker is turned on by default in Internet Explorer, so the GMN Knowledge Base and other options won’t automatically open.
Allow pop-ups by selecting the “Always allow” option that appears at the bottom of your screen. You can also click “More settings” to review your other options.
Go to Tools>>Internet Options>>Privacy>>Settings to add exceptions or otherwise manage your settings. More information.
Pop-ups are blocked by default in Safari, and you must change the setting to view some GMN resource options.
On your computer, open the Safari browser, then click Safari>>Preferences>>Security. Uncheck the “Block pop-up windows” box. More information.
On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings>>Safari>>Block Pop-Ups to manage your preferences. More information.
